The EPMA is proud to present the prestigious EPMA 2026 Powder Metallurgy innovation Awards, which over the years, have done much to promote and stimulate interest in PM technology. These awards are open to all who manufacture components made by PM processes.

The four award categories are:

  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Hot Isostatic Pressing
  • Metal Injection Moulding
  • PM Structural (including Hard Materials and Diamond Tools parts)

Benefits

  • Award will be presented to the winner during the Euro PM2026 Congress & Exhibition plenary session in Budapest, Hungary.

  • A short video of prize winners will be shown during the plenary session.

  • All final entries will be displayed in the EPMA Components Awards Showcase in the Euro PM2026 Exhibition Area.

  • Extensive press coverage will also be given to award winners, inlcuding the EPMA Newsletter and additional industry titles.

  • All entries will be featured in the 2026 Awards Booklet and on the Euro PM2026 Mobile App.

  • EPMA Component Award winners will be promoted on the EPMA website in the EPMA Component Awards Area.

  • All EPMA Component competition entries will be used in future for PM promotional exhibition activities.

  • FREE entry submission

Judging criteria

Entries for each category will be judged on a strictly confidential basis by a multinational panel of experts who will evaluate each submission according to the following criteria:

25% – How do you rate this component in terms of excellence in exploiting PM or in terms of novelty, surpassing borders or bringing new ideas into practice?

25% – To what extent is the component described in the entry expected to provide benefit on Sustainability?

20% – To what extent is the PM component described in the entry expected to provide cost savings and/or improved quality?

20% – To what extent is the entry expected to stimulate further usage of PM materials and technology?

10% – How well is the entry prepared? (Description of component, inclusion of diagrams, photographs and other illustrations.)
